What's Cookin'?

I love writing about my meal plans because it's really challenging me to create new dishes! Sometimes the recipes are winners and other times, not so much!

My husband and I love brussels sprouts, and I just found this recipe! I am very excited to try it!

Butternut Squash Soup
from a friend - (made this recipe last year, and it's quite delightful)
Shopping list:
Butternut squash
Chicken bouillon

Saute onions and add the squash along with water. Allow the squash to soften just bit. Once it's pretty soft, toss the squash and onions into the blender (I usually add a little bit of milk to help blend it better). And blend until smooth! Place the mixture into a large pot. Add chicken bouillon, milk, pumpkin pie spice and nutmeg. :)

I will serve this with a grilled cheese, but not your ordinary grilled cheese. I will try and make one with pears and gorgonzola cheese.

I'm excited for dinner this week :) What are some of your favorite dishes? I'd love for you to share them with me.

Also, stay tuned this week for give with JOY new items, pictures from our fall drive and sewing projects.

with joy,
Aneta Nina
