Butterflies, Sprinklers & a Slower Kind of Joy
We were eating breakfast this morning when we noticed birds fluttering around the feeder and big, beautiful butterflies landing on our flowers. Even my kids were completely taken by it. It’s a gift—to pause, to notice the small things. That’s what this summer has felt like.
I was chatting with a friend the other day about how we haven’t even visited our usual favorite places this year. Instead, we've stayed close to home—kids running between houses, sprinklers on full blast, popsicle parties in the driveway.
There’s no one “right” way to spend summer, but what I’m learning is that the joy comes from being present. Being content. Grateful. Noticing beauty right where you are.
That’s the heart behind give with joy, too—to help you slow down, connect, and share meaningful moments with the people you love. It’s about the quiet magic of relationships: sending a handwritten note in the mail just to say you appreciate someone, a text that says “Hey, I’m thinking of you,” or an invitation to play a board game after dinner.
These small gestures matter. They create connection, remind people they’re seen, and bring a bit of light to the everyday. GWJ helps make it easier to show up for others—through cards, notes, and simple, meaningful gifts.
with joy,
